Comments:
Requests received after 10:00 PM Pacific may experience a delay in response or may
be returned the following morning. Our preferred response to requests made from
10:00 PM-8:00 AM Pacific is via email. However, if specified in your request, all
efforts will be made to return urgent calls during the night.
Note: Birds and mammals usually do not eat during the night and feeding through
the night is generally not necessary. Nocturnal animals (like raccoons), likewise,
do not require night time feeding following rescue. Keep the injured/baby bird or
mammal in a warm, dark and quiet place while you await contact from us. Night time
online requests should be accompanied by telephone message to our helpline at (949)
831-1178 to ensure that your request for help is responded to in the quickest possible
time.
